They are dumped from an over head bin, tarped to prevent any moisture from getting in the load and delivered in walking floor trailers. The trailers unload from the rear "barn "doors. A moving bottom in the trailer dispenses the load at an even, steady rate. Good storage is the key factor to a bulk shaving bedding program. · loads can be delivered in 28 and 53 foot trailers · 28 foot trailers hold approximately 1,800 cubic feet · 53 foot trailers hold approximately 4,000 cubic feet · Mill Run is an unscreened shaving which is a mixture of all sizes · Mill Run is used in the Equine, Livestock, Pork, Poultry and Oil industries · Premium Screened Fines are a fine screened shaving · Premium Screened Fines are almost exclusively used in the Dairy and Oil industry · some Equine operators prefer the fines, they feel it lasts longer and is more absorbent We also offer loads of bark mulch for the garden industry and post peelings for base bedding in feedlots and sale barns.
The volume of 3.0 cubic foot compressed bags on a palletized trailer load is 990 bags. The number of bags on a loose load is approximately 1100 bags.
